This Cockatiel Exhibition is sponsored by the Northeast Regional Cockatiel Exhibitors. A partnership between NERCE and LIPS organizations has made it possible to include the Northeast Regional Cockatiel Show among Long Island Parrot Society's schedule of event activities.
The show is affiliated with the National Cockatiel Society at an A Level. The NCS Judge presiding for the day is Henry Castle from Marysville Pennsylvania. Show morning Entry Registration will be 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Judging will begin at 9:00 AM with the competition ending by 4:00 PM. There is a $5.00 per bird entry fee to enter your cockatiels in the show (NERCE Discount Rate Applies).
Henry & his wife Lori have kept birds for around 19 years now. It all started with a pair of Lovebirds he received from Lori for his birthday one year and has increased to a household consisting of a pet Citron Cockatoo, a Green Rump Parrotlet and over 100 Cockatiels. Members of the National Cockatiel Society for 16 years they served as the Pennsylvania State Coordinators and were been honored as State Coordinators of the Year on multiple occasions. Henry also served terms as NCS Third Vice-President and as Points Registrar and he has been on the Judges Panel for the past 10 years. Over the years they have also been very active in their local bird clubs serving in almost every imaginable position. Currently they are the founding members of the Northeast Regional Cockatiel Exhibitors, an organization founded to promote the exhibition of Cockatiels by sponsoring Cockatiel divisions at the events of clubs and organizations that wouldn't normally include a bird show.
When he's not working on some avian related activity you can find Henry at his job where he's the Manager of Database Administration in the Information Systems Division at Associated Wholesalers Inc, a wholesale grocery cooperative, or working in the yard of their home in Marysville which is just a few miles north of the Pennsylvania state capitol, Harrisburg.
