Dear Vendor,
Once again this year Castle Enterprises is bringing you the fall event "Keystone's Capital Region Bird Mart and Exhibition". The date is Saturday October 27, 2001 and it is at the Zembo Mosque on Third and Division Streets in Harrisburg, PA.
You can see from the directions that this site is very accessible and will be easy for all to attend. The Zembo is a castle like structure in and out, with a grand entrance and beautiful tile work throughout the hall. It is so fitting for a "Castle" Enterprises' event to be held there... However, it is smaller than all our other event locations so if you want to guarantee participation, please do not delay applying for your vendor space.
Last year we offered two different size vendor spaces which caused some confusion. This will not be the case this year. Only a standard 10 foot by 10 foot space is offered. Also note, although some vendors consider lobby area prime space, most found the Zembo lighting left a bit to be desired. Therefore, vendors will be assigned space in the lobby only by request. The other grand areas of the Zembo are lit well. As we have said, this hall is smaller but it has all necessary amenities. For your convenience, we have arranged for a concession area during lunchtime hours. And, as usual at our events, to assure a more pleasant day, the hall will be spaciously arranged to welcome the attendees and provided a leisurely shopping atmosphere for all.
The Keystone's Capital Region Bird Mart and Exhibition includes a Cockatiel Show and a Lovebird Show. These bird divisions are sponsored by Pennsylvania's two exhibitor groups (the Northeast Lovebird Exhibitors Association and the Northeast Regional Cockatiel Exhibitors group), won't you show your support... Review the Featured Attractions page for more details and the contact person for the show of your interest.
If you would like to vendor at this event we welcome your participation. Our goal to provide a good variety of birds and supplies to the shows' patrons will be achieved with your participation. Keep in mind, prompt vendor response will help us carry out our advertising campaign more effectively.
We are looking forward to hearing from you...
Respectfully,
Henry & Lori Castle
Vending Details
With each Exhibit Area you receive one uncovered 8' table and two chairs. For an additional fee extra tables are available if reserved in advance (see Vendor Application link below). You must be considerate of the Zembo's property. Stacked bird cages scratch bare table tops and cages / T-stands without trays allow bird droppings to accumulate directly on table tops or the floor. Table covers will not be provided. You must bring your own table cover and if necessary something for the floor. Unlike most of our other locations, the Zembo has nice flooring. Please be especially careful because you will be held responsible for damages to the Zembo's property or any additional cleaning fees.
Our events do not have Bird-for-Sale areas/room. We permit and encourage breeders to share an exhibit area but please, include all names, addresses and signatures on the application.
Payment for Vendor Space postmarked on or after October 6 must be made with a money order or certified check.
Our events will be quality events where shoppers will want to return. We must as professional aviculturists set an example of the proper care and housing of pet birds for the novice. Therefore, birds must be exhibited in a clean suitably sized environment with food and water! Cardboard boxes with wire fronts are unsuitable containers and clean doesn't just mean fresh newspaper on the cage bottom. Cages and containers must be free of feces build-up. Birds sold must be provided with an appropriate container for transport.
Also, in the best interest of the health and welfare of baby birds and to promote responsible avian practices, "No un-weaned baby birds can be sold and / or delivered during the show"! Violators of these rules will not be tolerated and will be required to promptly pack and depart the show. All vendors are requested and encouraged to report violations to us immediately. Note: Un-weaned babies can be displayed at the show and deposits accepted for a future sale and delivery.
Vendors with birds are required to fill out a PA Dept. of Ag form. This form must be handed in at setup... We will provide you with this form show morning.
There will not be Friday set-up hours... Set-up begins Saturday morning at 5:00AM. The unloading ramp has limited parking space so you must immediately move to the parking lot following the unloading of your vehicle. This will be enforced and vendors will comply without delay... The event hours are 9:00AM to 4:00 PM. Vendor Space displays must be disassembled by 7:00 PM.
