The event is designed to educate and entertain the public about parrots and other pet birds by providing a forum of avian professionals, services and activities. This event has something for pet bird lovers of all ages and will be a fun filled day for the whole family.

Industry professionals, manufacturers, breeders and public service organizations will comprise the events ever-popular Vendor Marketplace, which will be a pet bird enthusiast's delight. It's a veritable shopping spree for the bird hobbyist. Shop for all your pets needs; cages, toys, treats, feed, gyms, and so much more. Also, parrots and other birds will be for sale!

A fundraiser “Birdie Bingo” is planned for a portion of the day. A “Hands On-Fun Children’s Activity Area” and a “Hands On-Information Area” are scheduled for the duration of the event and "Pet Bird Portraits" will be available as time permits.

The Birdie Bingo is just what you would expect. A bingo game with avian products as the prizes (no pet birds). It will consist of a format which will start with a prize preview period from 9:00AM-10:59AM. The game begins at 11:00AM and will run until all prizes are awarded. Special items will take more than one win compared to the other smaller products awarded for just one “Bingo”.

All participants will be playing to help support Dr. Branson Ritchie’s research into the devastating disease Proventicular Dilatation Disease (PDD). PDD is a deadly wasting syndrome that afflicts wild and domesticated birds worldwide. There is a long way to go to conquering PDD and the Birdie Bingo is just one way to bring many bird enthusiast together to help fight a common cause.

The bingo beneficiary is Avian Health Network. This 501c3 nonprofit group is based in Virginia and assists in fundraising efforts to benefit Dr. Branson Ritchie's PDD research conducted by the Emerging Diseases Research Group at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine.

The Hands On-Fun Children's Activity Area is for the entertainment of the up and coming young bird enthusiast. There will be activity sheets, coloring pages, and craft projects all with a pet bird theme.

There is no charge for children to participate in this special Kids Area. Children activities will be available during all hours of the event (or while supplies last). Castle Enterprises / PetBirdShows.com is pleased to provide this "free" entertainment for the visiting children.
