The organizers of the very popular Greater Philadelphia Pet Expo and the pet extravaganza of the Long Island Pet Expo, two great annual shows, have added a new show to their 2005 calendar. The Harrisburg Pet Expo will be held on Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1, 2005 at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex at 2301 Cameron Street in Harrisburg PA. Castle Enterprises/PetBirdShows.com is producing the event's avian attraction, "PARROTVILLE" (a mini bird fair tucked within the pet expo)!
As with other Parrotvilles held by Castle Enterprises/PetBirdShows.com, bird lovers will be delighted in this special area designed just for their interest and it will certainly catch the eye of all pet bird owners and enthusiasts attending the Pet Expo. Parrotville activities are designed to attract new bird hobbyist while assisting them to become responsible and caring owners, as well as, satisfying the experienced bird hobbyist and entertaining all attendees of the Pet Expo.
Activities planned for Parrotville are: two days of "Parrot Exhibitions" (with the addition of a special Saturday Parrotlet Competition), "Parrot Photos & Handling Opportunities", information on care and keeping and birds on display at a "Birdie Show & Tell Area", a "Kids Activity Area" of free birdie crafts & educational project sheets and of course, the "Vendor Marketplace". As an avian vendor, you will want to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in "Parrotville's Vendor Marketplace" to showcase your products and/or birds to the event's many patrons and visitors.
Harrisburg is Pennsylvania's Capital City and the cities Farm Show Complex is very well known in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Not of much surprise being it is one of the largest exhibition facilities in the East and the home of so many popular annual events. It's name sake, the Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural event in North America. The Farm Show Complex is located along Cameron & Maclay Streets directly off Exit 67A of interstate 81 and within close proximity to Routes 22/322, Routes 11/15, I-78, I-83, I-283 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76). Also, the facility is only five minutes from Conrail/Amtrak, Greyhound and Trailways Stations and ten minutes from Harrisburg International Airport.
The Pet Expo's marketing program will entail the same diligence found with the Greater Philadelphia and Long Island events. The track record of the promoter speaks for itself. Year after year, their shows attract tens of thousands of pet lovers. The promotional advertising campaign includes using Print Ads in newspapers, Radio Broadcast Commercials, Direct Mail, TV Commercials and Discount Coupons in local McDonalds, Pet Stores, Veterinarian Clinics, Schools, etc.
Vendors should secure their exhibit space(s) now as they are limited and on a first come, first paid basis. You can reserve your space(s) by depositing half down and paying the final installment by March 26. Additionally, a special intro price on space is being offered until March 26 (or while space lasts), save up to $30.00 on space (see vendor application for pricing...). Total payment, or a 50% nonrefundable deposit with balance due by March 26, 2005, is required upon submission of Application For Exhibit Space. If application is submitted on or after March 26, 2005 total payment is required. Payments are payable to Castle Enterprises. Payment for Exhibit Space(s) mailed on or after April 10, 2005 must be made with cash, money order or certified check. We accept PayPal for those that would like to use this convenient EFT service or wish to pay by credit card (there is an additional 3% handling fee when using PayPal).

You can mail your completed application and payment. Or, if you prefer, mail or fax your application to us and pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from your checking account, Visa or MasterCard account with the PayPal service. All vendors are required to conform with local, state and federal laws concerning the legality of exhibiting their equipment, live stock or service. This includes holding proper licensing by the State of PA for the collection and payment of appropriate sale tax. The PA Department of Revenue requires that no one may sell taxable merchandise, live stock or services at an event unless that person has obtained a valid license from the Department of Revenue. Castle Enterprises is required to decline space to a vendor that does not hold or is not in the process of obtaining a sales tax license. You can file for this free license online, you will receive your license number within days of filing via email. To access this convenient PA Department of Revenue service, visit www.pa100.state.pa.us or, if you prefer, we can mail you an application for the PA Sales Tax License.
