Visitors will be welcomed to Parrotville by a grand entrance way made up of a large flight cage containing exotic Macaw Parrots and accented by tropical plants.

      The large flight cage on display is complements of Skip Martin of Martin's Cages, Inc. Martin's Cages wants to be your pet's real estate agent!       Dawn Lam of Feathered Angels will be providing the Parrots for the entrance flight cage. Dawn is well known in the south central PA avian community for her love of birds. This is made evident by the fact her "avian family" contains mostly adopted and rescued birds. The flight cage will be filled with several colorful Macaws.



      This area will be highlighted by "Puppet Bird Shows". Performances are sponsored by Castle Enterprises and presented by Barbara Tomlinson of Puppets Pizzazz. You will notice the difference when you see a Puppets Pizzazz puppet show just by watching the faces of the audience. The fast pace shows maintain a crowds attention by involving them physically and visually. Audience participation is mixed with many skits and songs. Parrotville's Special Puppet Bird Shows will be tailored to our specific theme and interest, pet birds. Also, a special parrot puppet emcee will educate the audience about keeping pet birds between skits. The 30 minute shows will take place on Friday at 5:00PM, Saturday at 11:00AM and 6:00PM and Sunday at 10:30AM and 3:00PM.

      "Kids make your own Bird Hand Puppet" this fun activity is sponsored by Castle Enterprises. All supplies that are needed for children to sit and make their very own puppet will be provided. There is no fee to participate in the activity. Children can make puppets on Friday from 4:00PM-9:00PM, Saturday from 10:00AM-8:00PM and Sunday from 10:00AM-6:00M (or while supplies last).

      "Story Telling" is sponsored by Castle Enterprises and will be conducted daily. Enter the
world of a pet green wing macaw named Belle. Her adventure begins like so many adventures, unexpectedly. Hear the story as Belle would tell it, she and her human companion Dave are walking outside to visit a favorite place. A sudden attack by a mob of birds causes Belle to fly to the tree tops. The challenge of flying down through all of branches and the struggle to get back to Dave make this a suspenseful and heartwarming story for children and their families. The 20 minute story will take place on Friday at 6:00PM, Saturday at 12:00 Noon and 7:00PM and Sunday at 12:00 Noon and 4:00PM.

      Chester County Bird Club and the Real Macaw Parrot Club will be sponsoring a "Hands-On/Just-Ask" area in Parrotville. Members of the club will bring a variety of pet birds to have on site at this special area in Parrotville for all to enjoy. Visitors will see many beautiful kinds of pet birds and are encouraged to ask questions about them and birds in general. The members will happily share their experiences and knowledge with anyone wishing to know and learn. There will be limited opportunity to handle birds...



     The Wilson Parrot Foundation will be providing the opportunity for visitors to Parrotville to have their picture taken with one or as many parrots as they can hold at one time (a set donation to the foundation is required for pictures). The Wilson Parrot Foundation will also be presenting several programs throughout the weekend. Brian Wilson will conduct Fire, Gun and Vehicular Safety Programs with the assistance of the foundation parrots. Humor, entertainment and information blend with the exotic parrots to create an unforgettable learning experience. The 30 minute programs will take place on Friday at 7:00PM, on Saturday at 1:00PM and 4:30PM and on Sunday at 1:00PM and 4:30PM.

      Timothy Patterson, DVM is the veterinarian at the Newport Animal Hospital and owner of Schults Bird Farm a full service facility that focuses on providing you with the highest quality of exotic birds and products for your beloved birds. Dr. Patterson will be doing presentations on Friday at 5:30PM, on Saturday at 3:30PM and on Sunday at 2:00PM. The topic of the presentations is "So you want to buy a Parrot and the days after".



      Tim and Laura Deitz of Iron Bridge Aviary, are well known in the world of birds. They both are Certified Avian Specialists and are both Panel Judges for the National Society of Parrot Breeders and Exhibitors. Between the two of them they have 32 years of experience keeping pet birds and over 20 years breeding them. They have been exhibiting their birds for a combined time of 20 years and are commonly seen helping out with a Parrot Divisions duties. They are true pet bird enthusiast and are specialists in the field. The Deitz's will talk about "Mixed species, pets and Show birds. Their programs will take place on Saturday at 6:30PM and on Sunday at 11:30AM.
